Vox Hunt: On Writing

Comments

Ah! This is up there with my favorite books and Ray Bradbury is probably my all-time favorite writer. I've read more by him than probably anyone else. And I actually got to meet him at SMU which was very cool. He's such a wonderful person in person!!

Did you ever see the film, Fahrenheit 451? Definitely not as good a the book, but it was well-done. (And very old by now.)
I don't know why I never read it sooner. I believe it is because I read something by RB earlier and it had been over my head. Liking "...451" as I do, I may try another. (Actually I have one children's book he wrote.) Did you put him as your famous person on that Qof theD? No, never saw it. I wonder where I could find a copy now. It was such a good story in my head, I almost don't want to overwrite it like I did when I saw the Harry Potter movies. Have you seen the movie "Equilibrium"? When I read "...451" I saw shades of "E..." in it as I had seen that first.
I haven't yet answered any of the Q of the D. You could get it through Netflix. But I agree - it could potentially ruin the book for you. I haven't seen Equilibrium. I'll put it on my queue. Thanks.
[this is good]
I never read this, but I saw about five minutes of the movie once. Not because I wasn't interested - I don't even recall - maybe my dad was switching channels or something. I love some of Ray Bradbury's works - maybe I'll have to check it out at the library. I read the Martian Chronicles when I was in high school and it was terrific.
Never read Martian Chronicles. Maybe mom has 'em and I can borrow.
